Christy Roche is a historical geographer, living in the Blackwater Valley, and has had an interest in the Peter Robinson settlers for over 40 years, first writing about the history of the emigrant families 35 years ago.

With this avid interest, Christy has visited the communities of the settlers in Peterborough on a number of occasions. Christy is the author of the recently published book “From Whence They Came- the Peter Robinson Settlers”, a historical account of the settler families and communities of origin here in Ireland 1823 and 1825.
