Libraries for Literacy is transforming communities by turning libraries into welcoming hubs of learning, connection and empowerment.

This short video from Cappamore Library highlights the impact of Libraries for Literacy in supporting literacy, lifelong learning and community wellbeing. From early years to adults, libraries play a vital role in creating inclusive spaces where people can learn, grow and feel supported. Libraries are more than books — they are places of opportunity, connection and possibility. 

The Libraries for Literacy project, funded by Solas through the Collaboration and Innovation Fund, is a collaboration between Ballyhoura Development, Cork Education and Training Board, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, Cork Libraries, Limerick Libraries, Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS), and Fighting Words.
