Migrant Apprenticeship Pathways (MAP) Ireland Building Awareness, Skills and Participation Migrant Apprenticeship Pathways Ireland (MAP Ireland) is a new initiative led by Ballyhoura Development, in partnership with IRD Duhallow, supporting migrants living in rural areas to access apprenticeships, employment and long-term career pathways.MAP Ireland will run from January 2026 to July 2028 and focuses on reducing barriers faced by migrant communities when accessing quality employment and apprenticeship opportunities.The project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union. About the Programme MAP Ireland aims to increase awareness, build skills, and support active participation of migrants in pre-employment, apprenticeship and employment pathways. The programme will: Improve understanding of the Irish employment and apprenticeship system Support migrants to prepare for and progress into quality employment Deliver information sessions throughout the programme to explain pathways, options and supports Work directly with employers to promote inclusive recruitment, retention and progression practices Programme Objectives MAP Ireland seeks to: Increase migrant participation in pre-employment, apprenticeship and quality employment pathways Enhance employment readiness and workplace integration skills among migrant participants Increase employer engagement in inclusive recruitment, placement, apprenticeship and employment practices Strengthen employer capacity to support migrant workforce integration Build sustainable partnerships between migrants, employers and support organisations Develop a replicable model for rural migrant workforce integration What MAP Ireland Offers: Who Can Get Involved?
