The Building Bridges project, co-designed with a focus on inclusion and participation, continues to make an incredible impact within the community.

By using drama as a medium for dialogue, this initiative has helped young men gain confidence in expressing themselves and has sparked meaningful conversations about the barriers to engagement they face.

Evaluation:

Our evaluation research aims to understand how participation in different stages of the project influences confidence in self-expression, learning from others, and perceptions of inclusion in the wider community.

We have gathered experiences from young people, stakeholders, audience members, and the community to compare views on the process and its impact.

The research findings will be shared later this year, offering valuable insights into the project’s success and areas for further development.

Performance Impact:

One of the highlights of the Building Bridges project has been the creation of the deeply impactful ‘Inner Dialogue’ performance, which is a powerful expression of raw, honest emotion, and storytelling shines a light on mental health. As the drama workshops draw to a close, we are incredibly proud of the participants for the courage and vul they displayed in telling their stories.

This performance is not just a play; it’s a conversation starter, a way to connect with others, and an opportunity to address the importance of mental health in a supportive, open environment.

Looking Ahead:

We are excited to bring this performance to even more audiences in the near future, continuing to inspire and connect communities through the power of drama.
